Shashi Prakash is an Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, with a specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing and a sub-specialty in Gastroenterology. He employs a learner-centered teaching approach that fosters critical thinking, advanced clinical practice, and research excellence.

With over five years of academic and research experience, he has contributed to 22 publications and presented his work at numerous national and international conferences. He has been recognized with the Young Researcher Award (2021) and the Research Excellence Award (2021) by the Institute of Scholars (InSc), and received the Best UG Research Category Award (2025) at the First Research Showcase & Oration–2025, organized by Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, Etawah.

He has played a pivotal role as a Master Trainer for WHO-supported viral hepatitis initiatives, and has served as a peer reviewer for over 300 manuscripts across reputed national and international journals. He also holds multiple editorial positions, demonstrating leadership in shaping research and academic standards in nursing.

His research interests include hepatology, clinical nursing practice, research methodology, and nursing education, with a focus on advancing evidence-based practices and mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals.
