Dentistry is a part of medicine that contains of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentistry also incorporates the treatment and correction of malformation of the jaws, misalignment of the teeth, and birth anomalies of the oral cavity such as cleft palate.

Dental materials are particularly fabricated materials, deliberate for use in dentistry. There are numerous different types of dental material, and their features vary according to their future purpose. Human body is prepared to damage due to either disease or accidents.

Orthodontics is an area of dentistry that agreements with the diagnosis, prevention and alteration of malposition teeth and jaws. It can also exertion on varying facial growth, known as dentofacial orthopedics. Poster Competition

Student Poster Competition is organized at ORC Meetings LTD, to encourage students and recent graduates to present their original research which will be later published in the International Journals. All accepted abstracts will be presented at the poster sessions during the conference. ORC Meetings aims at setting a platform for all the budding scientists and researchers to present their real-time work and share their views and aspects related to the theme of the conference.

 Instructions & Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Eligibility

  • This competition is open to all students (Graduates, Post Graduates and Research Scholars not above the age of 35).
  • Presenters who do not wish to participate or those who are not eligible for the competition are also welcome to present their poster at the conference.
  • The abstract submission deadline for poster competition will be closed one month before the conference date (this is subject to change), hence all are requested to submit their abstracts well in advance.
  • The abstract should include complete details of the contestant (e.g., abstract title, name, affiliation, abstract and biography etc).
  • Abstracts have to be submitted through online or by email. Shortlisted abstracts for the competition will be intimated through email and those will be displayed on the website as well.
  • If the registered author/poster presenter is unable to attend the conference he/she may send a substitute who can be a co-author (or) any member from the same institution. If the winner is a substitute, he/she will be awarded and not the registered author/contestant.
  • Opportunity for young researchers to learn about the research areas of their peers to increase their capacity as multidisciplinary researchers.
  • All shortlisted poster presenters have to be registered before the deadline of abstract submission.

Judging Criteria

  • The judgment will be done by Board of Jury.
  • When the competition is being conducted, each participant should be ready in front of his/her poster to answer all questions from the judges.
  • The judges will come to your poster during poster presentations. The presentation schedule will be informed to you once the program is finalized. However, preliminary schedule will be informed to you one month before the conference.
  • You will be given about 5-7 minutes to present your poster including questions and answers. Judges may pose questions during the evaluation of the poster.
  • Judges will even evaluate the student's enthusiasm towards their study, interest and knowledge in the area of their research.
  • There may be more than one judge to evaluate the posters.
  • The winners will be announced at the closing ceremony of the conference. The decision of the winner will be withdrawn if the winner/winners is/are not present at the time of announcement.
  • Apart from the judging time you may also be present at the poster to share your research with interested delegates.
  • The judge’s decision will be final and no clarification will be given.

Visuals & Text

  • Present numerical data in the form of graphs, rather than tables (graphs make trends in the data much more evident).If data must be presented in table-form, Keep it Simple.
  • Visuals should be simple and bold.
  • Avoid acronyms and extensive mathematical notations as much as possible.
  • Posters with 800 words or less are perfect. Avoid submitting compactly packed, high word-count posters.
  • Organize your poster into subdivisions, e.g., Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and Literature Cited (avoid using too many citations).
  • Use bright colors to enhance the detail.
  • Text should be readable from five feet distance.
  • Besides your project, the text could also include future research plans or questions.
  • Each poster should be approximately 1x1 M long.
  • The title, contents and the author’s information should be clearly visible from a distance of 1-2 feet.

About City

The capital city of the Netherland and situated in the province of North Holland. It is a very famous destination spot in Europe receiving almost 5 million tourists every year. Amsterdam receives its name from the term Amstelredamme, meaning the dam build on the river Amstel. Amsterdam became very famous in the Dutch Golden Age for its port and it is now known for several other historical places. It has rich architectural history and is a meeting point for various different forms of culture. It is well known for its coffee shops museums and nightlife. Claims to be the “Gay capital of Europe” the ambiance has been the safe haven for homosexual couples for decades. Some of the very famous tourist spots include the Rijksmuseum, The Anne Frank Museum, The West Church, The Royal Palace, The Jewish Historical Museum, etc.

Amsterdam has almost 100kms (60 miles) of canals, most of which can be traveled by boat. The three main canals are the Prinsengracht, Herengracht, and Keizersgracht. Amsterdam is affected by the oceanic climate by the North Sea which is in its proximity. Summers are usually warm and autumn and springs are almost always foggy, the winters here can get pretty cold.

The Young Researchers Forum offers young researchers the possibility to meet and discuss research topics and methodologies, share and develop ideas, learn from each other and gain knowledge from senior researchers.

Young Researcher Sessions are organized at the International Conference on Dentistry and Dental Materials, to provide a unique platform for Young Researchers/Investigators for presenting latest research projects with an in-depth analysis. ORC Meetings cordially invites Young Researchers from Universities/Institutes/Industries to present a short oral presentation during the forum. These oral presentations should be of 10 minutes duration in related scientific track followed by 5 minutes question hour. Therefore, presenters are encouraged to give comprehensive and dynamic talks. Applications will be selected based on past research productivity and future promise.

  • None of the authors should have senior position or faculty position.
  • Participants should be below the age of 33 years.

The organizer holds no responsibilities or liabilities of the personal articles of attendees at the venue against any kind of theft, lost, damage, due to any reason whatsoever. Delegates are entirely responsible for the safety of their own belongings.

Transportation

Please note that transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant, ORC Meetings will not be liable for any actions howsoever related to transportation and parking.

 Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from ORC Meetings Conference Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The ORC Meetings is an objective third-party nonprofit organization and this conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference after payment of complete registration fee. Once registration is complete, please contact Finance@orcmeetings.com to request for a personalized letter of invitation, if not received until one month before the scheduled date of event.

All the bank charges applicable during refund will be deducted from the account of participant.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to Finance@orcmeetings.com

If, due to any reason, ORC Meetings postpone an event on the scheduled date, the participant is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by ORC Meetings within period of one year from the date of rescheduling.

Postponement of event

If, due to any reason, ORC Meetings postpone an event and the participant is unable or unwilling to attend the conference on rescheduled dates, he/she is eligible for a credit of 100% of the registration fee paid. This credit shall only be used for another event organized by ORC Meetings within period of one year from the date of rescheduling.

Transfer of registration

All registrations, after payment of complete registration fee, are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if in case the person is unable to attend the event. Request for transfer of registration must be made by the registered person in writing to Finance@orcmeetings.com. Details must include the full name of replaced new registrant, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of ORC Meetings if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

ORC Meetings will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues are not covered under the cancellation policy of ORC Meetings, including the inability to obtain a visa.

 Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund policies apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overhead charges, following Refund Policy Orders are available:

  • Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund after deduction of $100 towards service Fee.
  • Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
  • Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
  • E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Service Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies which are applicable when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. If in case the registrant wishes to cancel or amend the accommodation, he/ she is expected to inform the organizing authorities on a prior basis. ORC Meetings will advise the registrant to ensure complete awareness about the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancellation or modification of their booking.
